Maui, Hawaii: Review of the Westin Resort & Spa in Ka'anapali

Friday, May 1, 2015

Staying at the Westin in Ka'anapali was definitely a great choice for my stay in Maui. I loved it so much that I wanted to write a review on it to share with you guys and for those who are interested in staying here in the future.

Maui, Hawaii: The Road to Hana

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

While in Maui, Ben and I decided to trek the Road to Hana in our rental car. We rented a Ford Mustang convertible so we could enjoy the fresh air while zipping through the highways of the island. Little did we know the Road to Hana would be one crazy ride!

Maui, Hawaii: The Lavender Farm

Monday, April 27, 2015

After pulling in longer hours at work on a weekly basis (part of the reason why I haven't updated this blog, sorry!), Ben and I decided that we needed to just get away from work. And of course, what could be more relaxing than a weekend trip to Maui! While there, one of the first places we stopped by was the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm.

Oahu, Hawaii: A Day at the Dole Plantation

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Being a food enthusiast, I HAD to visit the Dole pineapple farm in Oahu. Ben and I found out about the place from a postcard in a shop and decided to make the drive up there from Waikiki on one of our vacation days. The farm is located northwards of the island and away from the beaches. Upon arrival, I noticed that the farm looks like a miniature theme park/petting zoo (except without the animals).

Oahu, Hawaii: The Chief's Luau

Monday, December 1, 2014

One thing I have always wanted to do ever since I was a small child was go to a luau. You see it in these movies and imagine crazy fire dancers surrounding the stage and throwing torches around that you absolutely have to attend one. We went to the Chief’s Luau in Oahu’s Sea Life Park.

Oahu, Hawaii: Polynesian Cultural Center

Thursday, November 20, 2014

A highly recommended stop on my trip to Oahu was a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The center resembles a theme park, but instead of roller coaster rides we learn about Polynesian culture and history.

Oahu, Hawaii: Ocean Kayaking in Lanikai Beach

Monday, November 17, 2014

Lanikai beach
Ben and I went ocean kayaking one afternoon in Lanikai beach, towards the east side of Oahu. Lanikai beach is a great destination to visit since it is not as touristic as other parts of Oahu such as Waikiki.

Oahu, Hawaii: Snorkeling

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Ben and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and had a blast! It was a week full of non-stop thrills and new sights. As a first-timer there, everything was new to me. It’s crazy to think that Hawaii, even though it is part of the United States, has a completely different culture from the continental US. We just explored Oahu so this post will be focusing on that island.
