One thing I have always wanted to do ever since I was a
small child was go to a luau. You see it in these movies and imagine crazy fire
dancers surrounding the stage and throwing torches around that you absolutely
have to attend one. We went to the Chief’s Luau in Oahu’s Sea Life Park.
It is a new luau, currently on its 3rd year, and a great one at that! Although it is touristy, it is worth going for the experience. A standard admission will get you a lei, drink, dinner, and show.
The staff there does an awesome job at keeping you entertained for the entire time. I learned how to make a headband from leaves, hula, and play a game with sticks. Dinner is served after the day activities along with the show. The chief is also a very sociable guy and it is worth going just to see him. Throughout the night we saw many Polynesian dances from the different islands and learned a bit of the history of it. The show is also interactive since they call people from the audience onto the stage and have them attempt to dance and whatnot. It was a great idea for a date night and Ben and I enjoyed it!
