View of the marina in downtown Los Cabos
Ben and I took a short day trip over to downtown Los Cabos
to get a change of scenery from the resort. We hopped onto one of the resort
shuttles that went to downtown Los Cabos and dropped us off at the mall.
It was pretty insane to see the aftermath of the hurricane since the mall was still being rebuilt. Parts of the floors had not been reinstalled yet and scaffolding was everywhere, replacing walls that had previously existed. Out on the marina, it seemed as if the storm had not damaged much since all the restaurants were open and bustling. As we walked along, locals hustled us to eat at their restaurants, buy random trinkets, and sell us drugs (that part seemed a bit sketchy). There is a portion of downtown that is mapped out and goes a little inland but we did not have the time to explore it and would have to come back to do so.

We settled for a seafood restaurant specializing in oysters
and lobsters. The location was quiet and at the corner on the marina where we
enjoyed watching the boats glide through the water and the sunset. After
enjoying platters of oysters, salad, and cocktails, we departed for home.
Dinner with a view!
